“It's always sunny in Philadelphia” but it was in Porto where American Saxophonist Brian Blaker got to record "Beyond The Canyon", a peaceful but also virtuous record full of scape notes that lead us to the most beautiful images of landscapes. "Beyond The Canyon" is the most "traditional" within the contemporary (if I may assume) jazz record released until now on Jazzego. With help of great hands and great minds, Brian "Bison" Blaker joins forces with the Portuguese musicians Miguel Sampaio on Drums,
Nuno Campos on Bass and Luis Ribeiro on Guitar.
Recorded at Largo Recording Studios in Porto,Portugal by the head engineer Ruca Lacerda and assistant engineer João Dias. The record was mixed and mastered by Joe Baldaci and the artwork visuals were in charge of Shanley Wang.
